With an MFA in Writing from Columbia University, owner Michelle Brotherton is a fixture in New York’s downtown culture and scene. After receiving a BA in English & Rhetoric, she took the helm at a rock club, curated a yearly art show, wrote fiction, and read book after book. When the rock ‘n roll lifestyle began to interfere with her more scholarly pursuits, she moved east to pursue her graduate degree. 

With New York City as inspiration, Michelle continues exploring all things creative: books, art, music, film, food… And at cocktail parties and dinner she finds herself in the hotseat for suggestions on what to read, where to go, and what to do.
